Rock Chic To Beat The Mundane and Bedazzle in the Improper

The Rock genre in music and clothing is about individuality and attitude, unlike the miss-goody-two-shoes dulcet pop music and clothing. A fiery attitude with a never-say-die-go-getter rocks these clothes well. You can add a few elements of rock to your daily clothes and bedazzle yourself and look the part that is waiting to be venerated. Nada, forget the fishnet stockings and all things fetish. Pick from the colors and motifs and blend them in and create a mixed portmanteau of rock and swing in style.

Safety pins and badges

Live your teen life again and add these motifs and offbeat rock chic elements to your daily casuals and take that things bit by bit, biting off the demure lass you have been donning for long. Tell people in your place of work, you are not that simpatico damsel in distress, but the one to break the glass ceiling and make things happen without a sigh or frown. Glow in these elements and say ahoy! ushering some punk and a bit of a ska in your otherwise neat and organized days.

Splash of art motifs

Na, I don’t mean the psychedelic prints. Those for the happy bohemians not for the rock element. Forget those colors for a while and blend into the monotones of orange, which is the new black, and match them up in the accessories and clothes keeping in the trend check of the 90s which is still in and rock chic can rock it like no other in that blend.

Spikes and riveted

Riveted clothing, metallic chains, and elements make you look like a rock star. For a stage performance yes, this is what you should do. Boring are those rock bands which do not focus on styling and stay satiated in their unkempt hair, casual printed tees, and cargo. This is so passe. It rains metallic when you are thinking rock chic. Bring on the metal, Geronimo!!Let it rain in some metal, will ya! oh, and boots, do not make the faux paus of paring spikes with sneakers, its like asking for a paratha at McDonalds, you don’t do that, do you!!So, don’t!!

Boots, Heels, and all that is not simple

Throw that simplicity out of the window and let it dance in that place for a while when you reach your wardrobe for some rock style. Got some gumption wearing boots? Forget the knee-lengths, go for the Doc Martins or the Ankle boots with 4″ heels, yes, do that! Solid colors, sheen or no sheen, some metallic elements, not the ones with ornate embroidery, just plain with killer heels would do.

Streaks them hair!

A global is so out-of-mode. Streaks without copper and their siblings is all a yes! Do the hairdo in starky hues of purple, ash blue, and orange. Would still give a cross mark for red and pink, no, girl, you ain’t no punk. At least you do not want to look like you are taken out of a 90 year old closet who was once a punk; so do not wear them pink and red.

Accessories- Belt them up!

Bandannas, can you carry them? if so, go ahead. Focus on belts and metallic handcuffs and bangles. They are a head turner. Rock this style to show the world you are a woman who takes no bullshit whatsoever, that is what this style is all and about. Use the rivetted belts, or something made in jute to match up the grunge and rugged style of rock chic.

Dwell in this style all the time and get called the drama queen. So, if you want to rock this style for better, do it once in a while if you do not work in a fashion magazine or a creative agency.
